Description
CT Tech - Radiology (Travel Position)
Location: Springfield, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, Monday - Thursday, 8:30 pm – 7:00 am (4 x 10-hour shifts)
Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
Weekend Hours: As required by facility
Call Requirements: None
Job Summary
- Perform diagnostic CT scans independently at a technical level.
- Transport patients as needed.
- Consistently observe universal precautions and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Maintain dress code and personal hygiene standards.
- Ensure integrity of imaging archives and follow downtime procedures when necessary.
- Perform post-processing on Vitrea workstations and quality control functions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year.
Skills and Abilities
- Technical proficiency in medical scanning and cross-sectional anatomy.
- Knowledge of 3-D imaging, PACS, HIS/RIS, QC workstations, and power injectors.
- Ability to manipulate equipment, evaluate exposure factors and images.
- Physical ability to lift, move, and transport patients; stand and walk continuously.
- Adaptability to stressful and emergent situations with strong communication skills.
- CPR knowledge.

- Department: Interventional Radiology
- Equipment: GE CT scanners, Vitrea, Visage, Medicalis software, EPIC EMR system
- Patient Types: Emergency room patients and inpatients
Additional Information
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1; declinations are not accepted.
- Evening shift orientation occurs on day shift and requires availability for the entire week.
- Dress code: Black scrubs only; no other attire permitted.
- Float requirements as per facility needs.
