Description
Job Opportunity: CVOR Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Jackson, Tennessee
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Shift: Day shift, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (40 hours/week)
- Call: One night per week from 2:30 PM to 6:00 AM next morning, plus every 5th weekend from Saturday 7:00 AM to Monday 6:00 AM
- Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty required (higher value applied)
- Epic experience within the last 12 months is mandatory and must be explicitly documented in profile
- Broad knowledge and competency in surgical cases including CABG, MVR, AVR, TVR, ECMO, TAVR, TCAR, Impella insertion/removal, and Thoracic/Lung procedures
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience, with CVOR experience within the last year
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Additional Requirements
- Medication and pharmacology competency exams as applicable
- Skills checklist relevant to specialty
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgment
- References and documentation must be current and complete

- Locals and first-time travelers are accepted at the same rate
- Prior travel experience is not required for this position
This role is ideal for experienced CVOR RNs with recent Epic experience seeking a 13-week travel contract in Tennessee with a structured day shift and scheduled call responsibilities.
