Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR)
Location: Fort Smith, Arkansas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Days, 4 shifts of 10 hours each (4x10)
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
- Call Requirements: None
- Weekend Hours: None
- EMR System: EPIC
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Arkansas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 3 years of CVOR experience, including experience within the last year
- Operating Room (OR) experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- Valid Driver's License
Job Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care according to hospital policies and nursing standards
- Complete patient assessments and develop plans of care in collaboration with the surgical team
- Assess and document patients’ physical, mental, and emotional needs
- Recognize and communicate potential problems or abnormal findings to the surgical team
- Document nursing interventions, treatments, and patient responses accurately
- Document perioperative data appropriately
- Anticipate surgical team needs by assembling supplies according to surgeon preference cards
