Job Opportunity: CVOR Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (approximately 13 weeks)
Shift: 06:45 AM – 5:30 PM
Job Description
- Provide nursing care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting.
- Must be capable of assisting with heart and lung transplants.
- Willingness to take call.
- Ability to scrub in surgery is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience, with CVOR experience within the last year
- Experience in transplant surgery, including pulmonary/lung transplant
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Completed I-9 or attestation of eligibility to work.
- Ohio fingerprint background checks:
- If resident ≥5 years: Ohio BCI&I and FCRA-compliant national criminal background check.
- If resident <5 years: Ohio BCI&I and FBI fingerprint check.
- Criminal background check within 6 months prior to start, including social security trace and national sex offender registry.
- OIG exclusion check within 6 months prior to start.
- SAM/EPLS/GSA/OFAC screening within 6 months prior to start.
- Drug screen within 60 days prior to start (10-panel, lab report required; instant screens not accepted).
- Education verification through third-party.
- Employment verification for the last 5 years through third-party.
- Skills checklist specific to clinical role completed within 1 year prior to start.
- Competency exam with minimum 80% score within 1 year prior to start.
- Core competencies exam (HIPAA, OSHA, Joint Commission topics) with minimum 80% score within 1 year prior to start.
- Completion of required safety and compliance training modules prior to clearance; renewal annually.

- Non-expired photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
