    Surgical Tech – Tacoma, Washington

    Job Details

    • Specialty: OR Tech (Operating Room Technician)
    • Location: Tacoma, Washington
    • Contract Length: 13 weeks
    • Shift: Days (Friday to Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
    • Hours per Week: 36 hours
    • Call Requirement: 2-3 calls in a 6-week schedule
    • Call Response Time: 20 minutes for trauma cases; 30 minutes for non-trauma cases
    • Floating: Required to float to another unit (Walters)
    • Orientation: Unit/Department specific orientation provided
    • Scrubs: Hospital scrubs provided

    Work Environment

    • Number of OR Suites: 11
    • Cases per Day: 30-40
    • Common Case Types: Neuro, spine, ortho, vascular, thoracic, general, trauma, gynecology, urology, ENT, robotics, plastics
    • EMR System: Epic
    • Supervision: Charge Nurse and Manager

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid Surgical Technologist license in Washington
    • Minimum 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
    • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
