Description
RN - ICU - Travel
Location: Morristown, New Jersey
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: PM (7 PM - 7 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours (12-hour shifts, 3 days per week)
Job Overview
- Provide competent nursing care in a high acuity step-down ICU unit.
- Perform thorough, systematic assessments across all patient age groups (Pediatric to Geriatric).
- Deliver direct patient care and support the patient care team.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation of nursing processes and patient progress.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skill in emergency equipment and procedures.
- Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and patient identification.
- Use safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics.
- Individualize patient care based on surgical procedures and anesthesia type.
- Conduct pre-operative and postoperative assessments and patient/family education.
- Support timely completion and evaluation of Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey
- Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing

- Professionalism, confidentiality (HIPAA compliance), and patient satisfaction are emphasized.
- Ability to prioritize patient care and respond to changes in patient condition is essential.
