Description
Job Opportunity: Multi-Modality Technician (MRI Technician)
Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Flexible start times)
Weekend Rotation: Every third weekend
Call: 1-2 weekdays as needed, plus 2 holidays per year
Job Description
- Operate MRI and CT equipment with a focus on Siemens and GE systems (minimum 2 years experience required).
- Must be proficient with EPIC electronic health record system.
- Float within skill set to onsite locations or to sites within a 40-mile radius as needed.
- Weekend and holiday coverage required as specified.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience, including experience within the last year.
- Experience as a CT Technologist.
- Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- ARRT (MR) certification or ARMRIT certification.
- Prior travel experience required.
- Experience with GE Healthcare equipment.
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system.
Onboarding and Compliance Requirements
- Professional documentation required prior to submission:
- Resume/Profile
- Current license and primary source verification (within 30 days prior to start)
- Two professional references
- Must complete and upload the following prior to or at onboarding:
- Signed assignment agreement
- Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA, etc.) completed within the last year
- Medical imaging contract worker onboarding education attestation
- Forward-facing badge photo with white or blue background (no filters)
- Health statement or physical exam updated annually
- Immunizations and health screenings:
- MMR (two vaccines or positive titer; no declinations accepted)
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
- Varicella immunity (two vaccines, serology, or history; no declinations accepted)
- Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
- Fit test for respiratory protection (preferred before start; required annually)
- 2-step PPD or IGRA testing for TB with annual questionnaire
- Drug screening: 12-panel urine drug screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
- Criminal background check including SSN trace, OIG search, national sex offender registry, and EPLS within 90 days of start
- Employment and education verifications within 90 days of start, updated annually or after breaks in service >90 days
- Skills checklist for clinical specialty completed within one year and updated annually
Additional Information
- Call schedule and weekend rotation are based on department needs.
- Floating to nearby sites (up to 40 miles) may be required.
- Flu vaccine is optional; if declined during flu season, mask wearing is required.
- All onboarding documents and verifications must be maintained and updated annually or as specified.
This position is ideal for MRI Technicians with solid experience on Siemens and GE equipment, who have prior travel experience and are comfortable with flexible scheduling including weekends, holidays, and floating to nearby locations.
