Description

Registered Nurse – Cath Lab (Travel/Contract)

Location: Canton, Ohio
Shift: Day shift, four 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Provide nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic, interventional, and emergency cardiac catheterization procedures.
  • Possible assignments include roles as circulator, scrub, or monitor in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
  • May be required to cover the holding area and/or Electrophysiology (EP) Lab.
  • Orientation (32-40 hours) is required and includes competency testing in ECG rhythm recognition and medication administration (Safe Medicate). Passing scores are mandatory.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Ohio.
  • Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab nursing experience within the last year.
  • ACLS certification.
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
