Description
Registered Nurse – Cath Lab (Travel/Contract)
Location: Canton, Ohio
Shift: Day shift, four 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic, interventional, and emergency cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Possible assignments include roles as circulator, scrub, or monitor in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
- May be required to cover the holding area and/or Electrophysiology (EP) Lab.
- Orientation (32-40 hours) is required and includes competency testing in ECG rhythm recognition and medication administration (Safe Medicate). Passing scores are mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio.
- Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab nursing experience within the last year.
- ACLS certification.
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
