Unit Profile: Labor and Delivery

• Number of Beds: 9
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 or 1:3
• Equipment: EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring), IV pump, NIBP (Non-Invasive Blood Pressure)
• Electronic Health Records: GE Centricity, Meditech
• Patient Population: All ages

• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend / as needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
• Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience, with experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

• Labor and delivery (vaginal and cesarean)
• Pre-term labor
• Pregnancy complications

Work Environment & Culture

• Professional, upbeat, motivated, and self-assured personality fit preferred
• Dress code: Hospital-provided scrubs; unnatural hair colors and casual wear are not acceptable

• Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays
• Candidates must live 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
