Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Location: Riverdale, Georgia
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: Night (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Job Summary

• Provide safe patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Deliver direct patient care within scope of practice.
• Guide patient/family teaching and supervise other nursing personnel.
• Maintain professional nursing standards in Telemetry.
• Communicate patient condition changes and diagnostic results to physicians.
• Respond quickly and accurately to patient condition changes or treatment responses.
• Knowledgeable about EMTALA regulations and mandatory reporting of abuse.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Georgia
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification
• Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) training and Medication Administration Basics (MAB)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Valid Driver's License

Experience

• Specialty: Emergency Room Registered Nurse.
• Required years of experience: Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience.
• No prior travel experience explicitly required.

Additional Notes

• The role involves working in a Telemetry environment.
• Must be capable of handling emergency situations and changes in patient status promptly.
• Familiarity with hospital policies on abuse reporting and EMTALA is essential.
