• Shift: Night shift, 17:45 to 06:15 (12-hour shifts)
• Schedule: Every other weekend required
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Position for a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with ABG endorsement
• Work in a busy Respiratory Therapy department
• Provide respiratory care for patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics
• Responsibilities include intubation and performing arterial blood gases (puncture and analysis)
• Must have experience with Epic electronic health record system within the last 12 months (to be detailed in application)
• Both local candidates and first-time travel therapists are accepted
• Minimum 1 year of experience required in Respiratory Therapy specialty
• CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) credentials are not accepted; must be RRT

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in Tennessee
• Minimum 1 year of recent Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Background and Compliance

• Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; updated annually
• Federal exclusions checks (EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG) required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
• EPIC test-out required (one attempt only; failure results in contract cancellation). Candidates may start with EPIC pending but must complete onsite testing.
• Appearance standards must be reviewed and signed prior to start

Additional Notes

• No prior travel experience required; locals and first-time travelers accepted equally
• Must be able to perform all respiratory care duties including intubation and ABG analysis independently
• This is a night shift role with every other weekend coverage required
