Description

Registered Nurse - Neuro/Trauma ICU

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (Day shift)
Hours: 36 hours per week
Schedule: Every other weekend; holiday/hard-to-fill shifts may be required
Patient Ratio: 2:1
Unit: Neuro/Trauma ICU
Facility Level: Level 1 Trauma Center, Stroke Center of Excellence, Transplant Center


Job Description

  • Provide nursing care in a Neuro/Trauma ICU setting.
  • Work with a 2:1 patient ratio.
  • Utilize Sunrise (SCM) electronic health record system.
  • Wear royal blue scrubs.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years recent ICU experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Indiana
  • Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience, with Neuro ICU experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Certification in NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

  • Onboarding includes completion of education attestation and contract worker onboarding onsite.
  • Some optional checklists may be required by unit leadership post-start.
  • Facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center with specialized designations in stroke and transplant care.

This position is ideal for experienced ICU RNs with a Neuro/Trauma specialty seeking a long-term assignment in a high-acuity, trauma-focused environment.
