Registered Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
Schedule: Every other weekend and one major holiday per contract
Patient Ratio: Typically 1 RN to 4 patients
Unit: Progressive Care Unit with all patients on bedside cardiac monitors

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Indiana
• Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Excluded Parties List System (EPLS) check
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Job Description

• Provide nursing care on a Progressive Care Unit with cardiac monitoring
• Maintain patient safety and care with a typical 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Work 36 hours per week, including every other weekend and one major holiday per contract
• Day shift hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
• Optional unit-specific checklist may be completed by unit leader after onboarding
• All required exams and certifications must be updated every 3 years or as specified
• Extensions require updated confirmation of assignment documentation
