Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Henderson, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

  • Work in a high-paced, high-acuity rural Emergency Department with 20 beds.
  • Patient ratios typically 1:4, may increase to 1:5 during surges.
  • Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 hours.
  • Must work 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period.
  • No call requirements.
  • Electronic Health Record system used: Paragon.
  • Patient population: diverse (various ages and conditions).

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
  • Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year.
  • Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Training, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification, PALS.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Preferred Experience

  • Peripheral IV insertion.
  • Experience with Stroke, Sepsis, and STEMI cases.
