Description

Registered Nurse - Dialysis (Travel)

Location

  • Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Job Type

  • Travel assignment
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

  • 36 or 48 hours per week
  • Every other weekend required
  • Holidays as required
  • Regional campus hours: Monday-Saturday, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM; call on Sundays and after hours
  • Northport campus hours: Monday, Wednesday, Friday; call on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, and after hours

Job Description

  • Provide dialysis treatments using Fresenius and Gambro machines (training provided if unfamiliar)
  • Perform bedside and peritoneal dialysis
  • Dialysis nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:2 (RN:patient) or 1:3 (RN + Certified Dialysis Tech:patient)
  • Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals
  • Patient-facing role

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Minimum of 1 year of dialysis experience within the last year
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
