Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- Every 3rd weekend shift: 2:30 PM – 3:00 AM (Saturday/Sunday)
- On-call rotation: one day every 10 weeks; must be available within one hour of call
Work Environment
- Level I trauma center with Stroke Accreditation
- Dynamic emergency room (ER) setting with emergent inpatient needs
- Units include Outpatient, Operating Room, ER, Adult ICU, and community hospital setting
Job Responsibilities
- Perform CT procedures including abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, and brain perfusion imaging
- Operate CT equipment efficiently to ensure high-quality imaging
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Participate in on-call rotation responding promptly to emergent situations
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Ohio
- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current ARRT certification
Preferred Qualifications
- AART Advanced certification preferred
Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, including FBI and BCI fingerprinting (Ohio-specific code 3701.881)
- Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG monitoring
- Education accreditation verification required immediately after contract signing
- Pending background check attestation required if fingerprint results are pending
- Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 3 months of start (no pending tests allowed)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming good health and free of contagious disease
- Immunizations and health documentation required:
- Tdap vaccine (adult dose after age 11/12)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year
- TB questionnaire in lieu of annual TB test renewal
- 2 MMR vaccines or positive titers for Rubeola, Mumps, and Rubella
- Hepatitis B titer or 3-vaccine series (declination acceptable)
- 2 Varicella vaccines or positive titer (medical exemption requires documentation)
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31)
- COVID-19 vaccination not required but strongly recommended; proof of primary vaccination collected if available
Certifications and Competencies
- ACLS certification may be required depending on unit (check unit-specific requirements)
- Annual orientation safety manual acknowledgement
- Unit-specific competency exams required
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required annually for RNs (not applicable here but noted for reference)
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam required for RNs/LVNs (not applicable here but noted for reference)

- Two professional references required (at least one from a manager or formal leadership)
- License verification within 30 days of start
Additional Notes
- Must review and sign dress code and hand hygiene policy
- Must complete fraud, waste, and abuse training certificate prior to start and update annually
- Confidential fraud, waste, abuse, and compliance reporting form required
- Fingerprinting results must be submitted and approved prior to start; new fingerprinting required if break in service exceeds 90 days or results are older than 1 year
This position offers an opportunity to work in a high-acuity, trauma and stroke-certified environment requiring strong technical skills and flexibility. Candidates must meet strict compliance and credentialing standards specific to Ohio state regulations.
