Registered Nurse - OB/GYN

Location: Lawrenceburg, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Overview

• Provide care in labor and delivery, postpartum, newborn nursery, and pre-transition newborn care.
• Patient population includes all ages.
• Unit has 6 beds with patient ratios of 1:1 for laboring moms and couplet care.
• Work within OB/GYN specialty on a team-oriented unit.
• Use electronic health records: CPM and Medhost.

Schedule & Work Hours

• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
• Weekend hours: Every other weekend / as needed
• Call requirements: As needed
• Float to other areas as needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 1 year of OB/GYN nursing experience within the last year, including labor and delivery, nursery, and neonate patient care
• Required certifications prior to start:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • AWHONN (Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• Must be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Previous experience in OB, labor & delivery, and newborn nursery care
• Knowledge of intrapartum and postpartum care
• Team player with a positive attitude

Additional Information

• Orientation occurs biweekly on Mondays
• Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
• Dress code: Scrubs of any color; no non-facility associated attire allowed
