Description
CT Tech - Radiology
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Perform CT imaging procedures under the direction of a Radiologist, requiring independent judgment and initiative to obtain optimal image quality.
- Responsible for all aspects of CT imaging, including anatomical positioning, physiology understanding, and technical factor adjustments.
- Prioritize patient welfare, confidentiality, and comfort throughout procedures.
- Work primarily in an Emergency Department setting involving trauma, stroke, CT angiography (CTA), and perfusion cases.
Work Schedule
- Evening shift, 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts (schedule to be discussed during interview)
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- No weekend or on-call requirements
Required Qualifications
- CT Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of CTA and perfusion imaging
Equipment & Technology
- Experience with GE Revolution (256 slices) and Siemens CT scanners
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to lift, move, and transport patients
- Adaptability to a fast-paced workload
- Continual standing and walking during shifts
Additional Information
- Dress code includes wearing black scrubs
- Work environment involves trauma, stroke, and emergency care patients requiring quick decision-making and teamwork
