Description

CT Technologist - Contract

Location: Brooklyn, New York
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)


Job Description

  • Perform CT procedures using appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic images.
  • Conduct daily quality control calibration checks on all CT equipment before patient studies.
  • Inject patients with radioactive material following physician orders and prescribed protocols.
  • Maintain department documentation including logs, manuals, charge documents, and report equipment issues to comply with regulatory standards.
  • Perform quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests adhering to radiation safety guidelines and ALARA principles.
  • Manage patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation.
  • Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use and verify receipt and activity levels on delivery day.
  • Assess and respond to patient needs before, during, and after procedures in the Radiology department.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CT Technologist license in New York
  • Minimum 3 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
  • Completion of a Radiologic Technologist program
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association

Work Hours

  • 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
  • Day shift: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
