Cath Lab Technician - Wisconsin (Franklin)
Job Details
- Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (10-hour shifts)
- Call: Approximately 2-3 weekdays, every 2nd or 3rd weekend, and rotating holidays
- Work includes strong scrub experience with cardiac and electrophysiology (EP) cases, ability to pan, and monitoring cases
- Must be able to float onsite within skill set or to nearby sites within 40 miles to meet guaranteed hours
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system preferred
- Prior travel experience is required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Wisconsin
- Minimum of 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel assignment as a Cath Lab Technologist
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Health and Safety Requirements
- MMR: Documented proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer; no declinations accepted
- Varicella: Documented proof of two vaccines, serological immunity, or verified history; no declinations accepted
- Tdap: Valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted
- Hepatitis B: Vaccination series completion or signed declination
- Influenza vaccine: Optional; if declined during flu season, mask required
- Tuberculosis screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA within specified timeframes; if positive, chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire required
- Fit test for respiratory protection (3M 1860 Regular, Small, or 1870+), updated annually
- Health statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
- Color vision test prior to start and every 3 years
- 12-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter
Documentation and Onboarding Requirements
- Professional:
- Resume/Profile submission required
- At least two professional references prior to first assignment
- Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and others within 90 days of start; updated annually or after breaks >90 days
- Employment verification for past 7 years; updated annually or after breaks >90 days
- Education verification relevant to clinical work within 90 days of start; updated after breaks >90 days
- Signed assignment agreement required before onboarding
- Confirmation of assignment documentation upon initial assignment and extensions
- Badge photo (forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no alterations)
- Certifications:
- Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA, etc.) completed within one year and updated every 3 years; minimum 80% passing score
- Specialty exam completed prior to first assignment and every 3 years; minimum 80% passing score
- Skills checklist completed within one year of start and updated annually
- Personal Health History:
- Documentation of vaccinations and health screenings as above
- Identification:
- Valid driver’s license or state ID matching address on file; must show front and back
This position requires a skilled Cath Lab Technician with strong cardiac and EP procedural experience, current certifications, and prior travel experience. The role involves extended shifts with call responsibilities and flexibility to float to nearby sites. Comprehensive onboarding and health documentation are mandatory.
