Location: Jacksonville, Florida
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (approximately 13 weeks)
Hours: 36-48 hours per week
Schedule Requirements:
- Every other weekend
- Any holiday that falls on a regularly scheduled shift
Job Description
Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Room specialty. The role involves providing emergency nursing care in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Florida
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
- At least 1 year of travel nursing experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification
Additional Required Health and Compliance Documentation
- Immunizations and health screenings:
- MMR (two vaccines or positive titer; no declinations accepted)
- Varicella (two vaccines, serological evidence, or verified history; no declinations accepted)
- Tdap (valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted)
- Influenza vaccine during flu season (exemptions accepted with mask requirement)
- Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination
- Tuberculosis screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA test, chest X-ray if positive, and annual TB questionnaire
- Fit test for respiratory protection (preferred prior to start, can be completed onsite)
- Health statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
- Color vision test (completed prior to start and updated every 3 years)
Competency and Skills Testing
- Core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA topics, and specialty-specific skills (minimum 80% passing score, two attempts allowed)
- EKG exam with passing score of at least 80%, updated every 3 years
- Unit-specific checklist (optional for onboarding)
- Cerner electronic health record test and training checklist

- Specialty: Emergency Room Nursing
- Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience, including experience within the last year
- Prior travel experience: Minimum 1 year
