Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Preop/PACU

Location: Hackensack, New Jersey
Employment Type: Clinical
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday (No weekends or holidays)
Hours per Week: 40 hours


Job Summary

  • Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care.
  • Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs.
  • Identify patient needs and prioritize care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
  • Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care through initial and ongoing assessments.
  • Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage patient care.
  • Document care according to standards, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
  • Advocate for evidence-based practice and support innovations in care delivery.
  • Provide patient-centric care aligned with professional nursing practice models.
  • Responsibilities include admission assessment, IV placement, and procedure recovery.
  • Work involves Interventional Radiology pre-op and post-op care.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in New Jersey
  • Minimum 2 years of recent PreOp / PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience, including experience within the last year
  • Experience in Pre-Op and PACU - Post Anesthesia Care
  • Experience in Interventional Radiology
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS certification
  • PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Telemetry certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
