MRI Tech Travel Opportunity

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each)
Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
Weekend Hours: As needed
Call Requirements: As needed


Job Summary

Perform a variety of MRI procedures independently under supervision of MRI Supervisor and Radiologist. Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct MRI exams using established protocols for technical factors, patient positioning, and computer manipulation
  • Prepare and administer contrast agents as outlined by MRI protocols
  • Instruct patients on special requirements (e.g., breathing instructions, motion) and explain procedures clearly
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of requisitions, PACs, and computer system functions
  • Perform Continuous Quality Improvement tasks as assigned
  • Demonstrate knowledge of patient needs across all age groups: neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric
  • Complete all daily MRI technologist responsibilities and miscellaneous assigned tasks

Required Qualifications

  • MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience
  • MRI Technologist experience within the last year

Work Environment

  • Patient ratio: 1:1
  • EMR system: EPIC
  • Patient type: Medical
  • Dress code: Black scrubs required; other attire must be acceptable per facility standards

Additional Notes

  • Travel assignment in Oklahoma City offers access to local cultural attractions, outdoor activities, and sports events.
  • Weekend and call hours are on an as-needed basis.

This position does not require any additional certifications beyond standard MRI Tech licensure.
