Radiation Therapist Travel/Contract Job – North Carolina

Location

  • City: Laurinburg, North Carolina

Position Details

  • Employment Type: Travel/Contract
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Hours per Week: 40 hours
  • No call or weekend shifts required
  • Hospital-based outpatient radiation oncology clinic
  • Radiation treatment requires provider presence on site during delivery
  • Clinic includes medical oncology, breast surgery, and palliative care services

Job Responsibilities & Environment

  • Provide radiation therapy primarily for prostate, breast, lung, and palliative cases
  • Experience with external beam radiation required
  • Must be familiar with Aria and Varian treatment systems
  • Work alongside a team including two other radiation therapists, one dosimetrist, and one physicist on site at all times

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Radiation Therapist license in North Carolina
  • Certified Radiation Therapist (RTT) with ARRT(T) certification
  • Minimum of 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Experience working with adult patients
  • Experience in an outpatient radiation therapy setting

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

  • Government-issued photo ID must be carried during work hours
  • Proof of E-Verify or attestation required
  • Background check: 7-year criminal history check within one year of start, updated annually; includes all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
  • Federal exclusions screenings (EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG) required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
  • Education verification or diploma/transcript for highest degree obtained
  • Physical exam within last 12 months (physician statement)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start, updated annually
  • Immunizations or titers required for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • 9-panel drug screen within one year of start (instant drug screen acceptable)
  • Seasonal influenza vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season (10/1–3/31); exemptions require facility-specific forms and mask-wearing during flu season
  • Two professional references within 2 years required for travel positions
  • Completion of facility-specific orientation and compliance packets prior to start
