Description
Respiratory Therapist - Akron, Ohio (Long-Term Assignment)
Job Summary
Provide respiratory care by confirming physician orders, assessing patient condition, performing respiratory procedures, and monitoring patient response to therapy. Participate in emergency response, patient care teams, quality improvement, and educational activities. Maintain equipment and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Required Qualifications
Licensure & Certifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Ohio
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience
- Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
Additional Information
- Must provide a detailed resume including 3 years of prior work history
- Participate in ongoing education, meetings, and in-services to maintain proficiency
- Responsible for documenting patient care and billing information as required
- Must maintain a safe environment and promote positive interactions with patients, visitors, and coworkers
- Respond to emergencies including cardiopulmonary resuscitation
