Cardiovascular Radiology Technologist
Location
- Cincinnati, Ohio
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
- On-call coverage required:
- Weekday call: 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Weekend call: 7:00 AM Saturday – 7:00 AM Monday
- 30-minute response time for emergency cases during call shifts
Job Summary
- Provide continuous, comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients undergoing invasive cardiology, peripheral, and angiographic procedures.
- Perform angiographic procedures including invasive vascular treatments with a focus on optimal image quality.
- Function as a scrub assistant during diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cath lab and angiography.
- Maintain sterile technique, set up specialized equipment, and manage post-procedure hemostasis.
- Ensure radiation safety for patients and staff, including proper use of protective equipment and dosimetry badges.
- Assess patient condition, communicate changes to physicians and nursing staff, and participate in safety initiatives.
- Provide individualized patient and family education in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Respond skillfully to emergency situations.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Vascular Interventional Technologist, including experience within the last year
- Experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist
- Experience as a Cath Lab Technologist
- Experience with the Impella device
Certifications & Licensure
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT(R))
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
