Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract
Location
- Cleveland, Ohio

- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
- Weekends as needed
- May float to other facilities as required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Ohio
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, including experience within the last year
- Current NBRC certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Criminal background check (FCRA compliant 7-year search) required before start; must be updated if break in service exceeds 2 months
- Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
- Transcript or diploma verification required
- FBI and BCI fingerprinting within 12 months of start; must be completed prior to badge issuance and onboarding
- Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming ability to perform essential job functions
- Fit mask test within 12 months of start; must be updated annually (specific approved mask models required)
- Negative 2-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold TB test/T-Spot within 6 months of start; annual renewal required; chest x-ray required if prior positive TB test
- Required immunizations or titers for Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella; boosters required for negative or equivocal titers; declinations not accepted except for Hepatitis B with signed declination
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start; annual renewal required; one retest allowed for dilute results; instant drug screens not accepted
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (October 31 - March 31); no declinations accepted
- HIPAA acknowledgment form required and must be updated annually
Onboarding and Training
- Completion of facility-specific online training modules (approximately 4-5 hours) prior to start; must be completed on a computer using Chrome browser; video content must be viewed before testing
- Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start; annual update required
- Unit-specific skills checklist required; annual update required
- Badge photo required prior to start
- I9/E-Verify attestation required
Work History and References
- Must provide 3 years of prior work history including at least 2 years of clinical practice in an acute care setting relevant to the assignment
- Two recent satisfactory pre-employment references required
This position requires a licensed and experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist ready to work night shifts on a travel contract basis in Ohio, with comprehensive compliance and credentialing requirements to ensure readiness and safety.
