Job Opportunity: CT Tech
Location: Marina del Rey, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
- Weekend Requirement: Rotating Saturdays from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Floating: Required
- On-Call: One weekend per month
- Scheduling requests cannot be accommodated
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in California
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Fluoroscopy Certification
- ARRT-CT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - CT)
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
Prior Travel Experience
- First-time travelers are accepted (prior travel experience NOT required)
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Background Check:
- 7-year criminal background check within 6 months of start, updated annually
- Includes SSN trace, county residence history, nationwide search, sex offender search, federal district court search, and international criminal searches if applicable
- Education Verification: Highest applicable education must be verified; transcript/diploma required
- Physical Exam: Within 1 year of start, confirming ability to meet essential job functions
- Drug Screening: Comprehensive panel within 1 year of start; must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
- Immunizations and Titers:
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer; boosters required if titers negative or equivocal
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; booster or proof of disease history if negative
- Hepatitis B: Vaccine series, titer, or signed declination
- Seasonal Flu Vaccine: Mandatory during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30); documentation required for all candidates starting during this period; declinations not accepted
- TB Testing: Negative PPD, Qgold, or T-spot within 1 year; if history of positive, chest x-ray within 5 years and annual TB questionnaire required
- Fit Mask Test: Within 1 year, updated annually; required for clinical/allied candidates
- Fire Card: LA County Fire Card required within first 30 days of assignment; course provided onsite during orientation if not already held
- Harassment Prevention Training Certificate: Must be on file for all candidates
- References: Two professional references required; both must be supervisory for this facility; references must be verified within 1 year of start
- Skills Checklist: Must be updated annually
- Attestation of Prior Radiation Exposure: Required for new candidates assigned to relevant units
Competency Requirements
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam: Minimum passing score 80%, two attempts allowed
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam: Required for all RNs except OR RNs; must be completed within 3 days of start if pending
- Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication): EKG assessment during orientation for applicable units; medication test completed during orientation (not pass/fail)

- Photo for badge: Not required for this location
- Candidate must comply with facility-specific policies including Code of Conduct, Attendance Policy, Job Hazard Analysis, Safe Work Practices, and Social Media Policy
- Meal waiver and parking forms required for applicable travelers
- No scheduling requests can be accommodated
This position offers a structured day shift with rotating weekend responsibilities in a high-acuity acute care setting, requiring specific radiology certifications and acute care experience. First-time travel techs are welcome to apply.
