Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Location: Henderson, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Work in a high-paced, high-acuity rural Emergency Department with 20 beds.
- Patient ratio typically 1:4, may increase to 1:5 during surges.
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 hours.
- Must work 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period.
- No call requirements.
- Electronic Health Record system used: Paragon.
- Patient population: diverse (various ages and conditions).
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience within the last year.
- Certifications required: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Preferred Experience
- Peripheral IV insertion.
- Experience with Stroke, Sepsis, and STEMI cases.
Work Environment & Dress Code
- Emergency Department setting with trauma level not specified.
- Scrub colors allowed: black, navy, and royal blue.
- Unacceptable attire not specified beyond scrub colors.
Additional Information
- Orientation sessions available throughout the year.
- No float requirements.
- No call duties.
- This is a travel position; candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify.
