Work Schedule

• Night shift, 3 shifts per week
• 12-hour shifts (18:45 to 7:15)
• Total 36 hours per week

Unit Description

• Busy observation unit
• Float to other Medical-Surgical/Telemetry units or low acuity ICU may be required

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year of Registered Nurse experience
• Cardiac Telemetry experience required
• Prior travel experience preferred but not required; local candidates accepted at the same rate

Required Certifications and Licenses

• Tennessee RN license or compact license
• AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Epic electronic health record experience within the last 12 months (must be detailed on submission profile)

Required Documentation and Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID must be carried during hours of service
• Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; updated annually
• Employment eligibility verification (I-9) required
• Physical exam within 1 year attesting ability to meet physical demands of position
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year; annual TB questionnaire required
• N95 Fit Test within 1 year, updated annually (no PAPR allowed)
• Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start
• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Completed employment application/resume
• Skills checklist as applicable to specialty
• Influenza vaccine required during flu season (11/1 - 3/31); no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required prior to start

Additional Notes

• Candidates must pass an Epic test-out exam (one attempt only); failure results in contract cancellation. Facility allows starting with Epic pending but requires onsite completion.
• Appearance standards must be reviewed and signed prior to start
• Medication/pharmacology competency exam required as applicable
