Registered Nurse - Med Surg

Location: Pulaski, Tennessee

Unit & Facility Information

• Unit: Medical/Surgical
• Number of Beds: 19
• Patient Ratios: 1:5
• Patient Population: Geriatric and adults; typically 3-4 pediatric patients per year
• Equipment: Welch Allyn vital machines, Masimo at bedside in every room, Careview, telemetry, Sara Stedy, ARJO lift
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): Medhost
• Call Requirements: Yes, depending on census; staff may be placed on call or floated
• Float Requirements: Yes, float to medical detox, ICU, OB, or ER (task assignments for OB and ER); may take low-level Med Surg overflow patients in ICU with a ratio of 1:3
• Weekend Hours: Rotate every other weekend unless additional coverage is needed
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
