Surgical Tech (CVOR Tech) - Fargo, North Dakota

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • Must be on the North Dakota Board of Nursing Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) Registry one week prior to start date; proof of application required within 3 business days of offer acceptance
  • Experience working in a large hospital (250+ beds) and a level 2 or higher facility

Job Description

  • Perform surgical and operating room duties to assist surgeons and healthcare team members in providing effective surgical care
  • Primary patient populations: Cardiovascular, Vascular, Thoracic, occasional general surgery
  • Procedures focus on open heart, thoracic, some robotic, and vascular surgeries
  • May float to other operating rooms to cover when cardiovascular cases are slow

Work Schedule

  • 8 or 10 hour day shifts (typically 10 hours)
  • May need to stay late as needed to assist with scheduled cases (considered extension of regular shift, not call back)
  • On-call 1 to 2 shifts per week and every 4th or 5th weekend

Additional Information

  • Clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
  • Scrub color provided: Ceil Blue
  • Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible for travel assignment
  • Prior employment with this facility requires a minimum 6-month gap before reapplying
  • Manager will contact candidates directly for interviews; provide good interview availability upon submission
