Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health
Location
- Athens, Tennessee

Unit and Patient Population
- Behavioral Health unit specializing in Geriatric patients (50+ years)
- 24-bed unit
- Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 7 patients
- Specialty focus: Dementia with Behavioral Disturbances
Work Schedule
- 36 hours per week guaranteed
- 24 weekend hours included
- No call requirements
- No float requirements
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
- Minimum 1 year of Behavioral Health experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Healthcare Worker Certification (HWC) or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification
Skills and Experience
- Experience working with dementia patients, especially those with behavioral disturbances
- Calm demeanor and ability to work well with others
Additional Information
- Electronic Health Record system used: Medhost
- Orientation occurs bi-weekly on Mondays
- Dress code: solid color scrubs; facial piercings are not allowed
