RN Cath Lab - Mason City, Iowa

Job Details

  • Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 07:00 AM to 3:30 PM
  • Schedule: Every 3rd weekend on call, plus 2 additional on-call days per week
  • Start Time: 7:00 AM with variable end times

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Iowa
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, with experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • ACLS
  • NIHSS

Health and Safety Requirements

  • Fit test
  • Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen (9 or 10 panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start; no THC)
  • COVID-19 vaccine proof (including booster by Sept 2025) or approved exemption/declination (declination not accepted in CA or IL)
  • MMR: Proof of 2 vaccinations or IgG titer lab report
  • Hepatitis B: Must have started vaccination series prior to start (all 3 shots required; titers not accepted)
  • Influenza vaccine (optional)
  • 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) with chest x-ray if positive TB as per regional requirements
  • Varicella: Proof of 1 vaccination or IgG titer lab report
  • Physical/Health Statement: Documentation from exam within last year confirming fitness to work
  • Tdap vaccine: Current and non-expired; declination accepted if no pediatric interaction

Background and Compliance

  • Federal, nationwide, and county criminal background check from last 7 years, including SSN verification, dated within 30 days of start
  • Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma/GED
  • EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check dated within 30 days
  • OIG (Office of Inspector General) exclusion check dated within 30 days
  • NSO (National Sex Offender) check dated within 30 days, including aliases and locations
  • Iowa-specific criminal history, sex offender, dependent adult & child abuse registries check (required within 30 days prior to start)
  • Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form
  • Code of Conduct Form
  • Confidentiality and Information System Security Agreement
  • Integrity and Audit Services Form
  • Non-Employee Upload Form (pages 1-3 and 28)
  • System Access Form (must be completed and uploaded one week before start)

Additional Notes

  • Agency will provide the clinical skills checklist for this assignment
  • All license and certification documents must be scanned and uploaded with visible expiration dates and front/back images where applicable
  • Specialty competency exam must be attached and current within one year

This position requires a dedicated RN with Cath Lab experience, able to work early shifts with on-call responsibilities every third weekend and additional on-call days weekly. Compliance with extensive health, background, and professional documentation is mandatory prior to start.
