Description
Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer
Location: Denver, Colorado
Employment Type: Clinical Non-Nursing
Shift: Night, 12-hour shifts
Hours per Week: 36
Job Summary
- Perform Ultrasound procedures to obtain imaging results per physician specifications.
- Transfer patients for examinations and assist during Ultrasound procedures.
- Operate Ultrasound imaging and related equipment appropriately.
- Educate, position, and immobilize patients for Ultrasound exams.
- Coordinate examinations to ensure timeliness, quality, and continuity of care.
- Follow provider imaging orders accurately.
- Submit images and clinical information to Radiologists for interpretation.
- Evaluate image quality effectively.
- Communicate openly and responsively with patients, coworkers, Radiologists, and leadership.
- Utilize and maintain department supplies properly.
- Practice sterile technique and adhere to infection prevention policies.
- Manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines safely.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, including recent experience within the last year.
- Experience specifically as a Vascular Sonographer with expertise in vascular ultrasound.
Education
- Associate’s degree required.
Certifications & Licensure
- ARDMS certification required.
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification required.
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association required.
Contract Length
- 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
