Description

Medical Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Columbus, Ohio
Contract Length: 16 weeks
Shift: Nights (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36


Job Description

  • Work on a mixed acuity PCU and MS unit specializing in oncology and bone marrow transplant (BMT).
  • Patient population includes diagnoses such as:
    • Acute and Chronic Leukemias (ALL, AML, CLL, Chronic Myeloid Leukemia)
    • Amyloidosis, Aplastic Anemia
    • Hodgkin’s and Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
    • Multiple Myeloma, Myelodysplastic Syndrome, Myeloproliferative Disorders
  • Special procedures include:
    • Autologous, Syngeneic, and Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplants
    • CAR-T Therapy
  • Shift assignments may rotate between days and nights depending on department needs, reviewed every 4 weeks but not guaranteed.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio.
  • Minimum 1 year of oncology nursing experience within the last year.
  • Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
  • Experience with central line blood draws.
  • Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
