Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray) - Temp Position
Location: San Francisco, California
Shift: Afternoons
Hours per day: 8
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Job Summary
Provide mobile X-Ray and EKG services to nursing homes, healthcare, and other facilities using portable digital (DR) or computed (CR) radiography equipment. Perform exams ordered by physicians, ensuring clinically diagnostic and technically competent images. Perform EKGs as needed and transmit results for interpretation. Maintain equipment and vehicle, communicate regularly with dispatch, management, and clients, and handle exam-related paperwork daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and process portable X-Rays and submit/transmit images to Radiologists.
- Perform EKGs when required and transmit to Cardiologists.
- Transport and set up portable X-Ray equipment at various care facilities.
- Scan and submit exam-related paperwork and billing documents daily.
- Maintain vehicle and diagnostic equipment in good working order.
- Communicate professionally with peers, supervisors, clients, and dispatch.
Physical Demands
- Ability to push/pull equipment weighing 50–100 lbs multiple times daily (16 to 24 times).
- Use of vehicle ramps and pulleys may reduce physical strain.
- Must meet physical requirements to perform essential job functions; reasonable accommodations available.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technologist license in California
- ARRT certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- Minimum of 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience as an X-Ray Technician
- Valid driver’s license
Additional Information
- No guaranteed hours.
- Standard assignment duration is 8 weeks.
- Scrub color: Navy Blue.
