Occupational Therapist (OT) - Inpatient

Location: Marshfield, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Treat approximately 9 evaluations and 16 treatments per day per therapist.
• Patient population includes adult and pediatric ICUs, Level 2 pediatric and adult trauma center, primary stroke center, same day discharge joint program, trauma, neuro, ortho, general med-surg, oncology, pediatric and adult inpatient rehab, and stroke specialty programs.
• Work settings include adult and pediatric acute inpatient, adult and pediatric ICUs, and acute inpatient rehab.
• Responsibilities include ADL evaluation, documentation to justify next level of care, and strong verbal and written communication.
• Must demonstrate flexibility and strong teamwork skills.

Schedule & Work Conditions

• Day shift, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
• No self-scheduling; shifts are variable.
• Weekend and holiday work required on a rotating basis with core staff. Compensatory days are scheduled for weekends worked.
• Professional dress code: any solid color, clean and professional attire.
• Department-specific orientation varies based on skill level.
• Clinicians must clock in and out at the facility.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Wisconsin state OT license must be obtained before start date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA) required.
• Must complete all onboarding, including credentialing and licensing, by the 2nd Monday of the month to avoid delayed start dates.
• Prior employment with this facility requires a minimum 6-month gap before re-submission.

Additional Information

• Credentialing process includes a client credentialing team meeting every 3rd Monday of the month, followed by up to 10 additional business days before start.
• Entire submission to start process can take up to 2 months or longer depending on candidate and onboarding completion.
• Rehab support includes 1 rehab aide and 1 Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).

Patient Load & Coverage

• Department treats approximately 120-150 patients per day total.
• Coverage may include all listed patient areas and programs.
