Job Opportunity: CT Technologist

Location: Columbus, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Work schedule includes 2 twelve-hour shifts and 2 eight-hour shifts per week.
  • Shift times are variable, typically between 11:00 AM and 9:00 PM (day shift).
  • Flexibility required to cover other shifts as needed, including holidays.
  • Operate Siemens CT equipment/scanner.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CT Technologist license in Ohio
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year

Background and Compliance Requirements

  • Must pass a 7-year criminal background check including FBI and BCI fingerprinting prior to start.
  • Fingerprinting must be completed using Ohio-specific codes and within one year of assignment start.
  • Pending fingerprint or background results require a signed attestation to start.
  • Education verification required to confirm graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program.
  • Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug test within 3 months of start (includes amphetamines, benzodiazepines, THC, cocaine, opiates, etc.).
  • Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager or formal leader.
  • Employment application and skills checklist must be completed.

Certifications and Training

  • BLS certification (AHA provider or instructor level, RQI acceptable).
  • ACLS, PALS, NRP, NIH Stroke Certification, and other certifications are not specified as required for this role.
  • Annual acknowledgment of orientation safety manual, dress code, hand hygiene, ethics, and compliance policies required.
  • Fraud, Waste, and Abuse training certificate required prior to start and updated annually.

Health and Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within one year prior to start confirming good health and freedom from contagious disease.
  • Negative TB test (PPD, QGold, or TSPOT) or chest x-ray if positive, within one year of start.
  • TB questionnaire required annually in lieu of TB test renewal.
  • Immunizations required:
    • Tdap (adult dose after age 11/12; exemptions not allowed if working with infants or pregnant patients).
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella: Two MMR vaccines or positive titer; boosters required if low titer and no vaccine proof.
    • Varicella: Two vaccines or positive titer; medical exemptions require documentation.
    • Hepatitis B: Titer or 3-vaccine series; signed declination acceptable.
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); mask required if declining.
  • COVID-19 vaccination not required but strongly recommended.

Additional Requirements

  • Annual fit mask testing required for inpatient/patient-facing roles starting with contracts dated 7/13/2026 and beyond.
  • Must review and sign facility-specific policies including dress code, hand hygiene, and compliance reporting mechanisms.
