CT Technologist
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Job Summary
Perform high-quality computed tomography (CT) scans for diagnostic purposes, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to provide accurate imaging results for diagnosis and treatment.
Essential Functions
- Perform CT imaging procedures according to physician orders and protocols.
- Position and immobilize patients to optimize image quality and minimize radiation exposure.
- Review and verify patient information, including medical history and prior imaging.
- Operate and calibrate CT equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety compliance.
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and address concerns.
- Collaborate with radiologists for accurate image interpretation and follow-up imaging requests.
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient data, and imaging results.
- Adhere to infection control and radiation safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or an Associate's Degree in a Related Field of Study
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Massachusetts
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CT Technologist
- CT Technologist experience within the last year
Skills & Abilities
- Proficient in operating and troubleshooting CT equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to imaging protocols.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
- Knowledge of radiation safety and infection control procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining accuracy.
Onboarding & Compliance Requirements
- Primary source verification of professional license and certifications within 30 days of start date.
- Fit testing for N95 respirator within 365 days of start date, updated annually (no exemptions allowed).
- Respirator Medical Clearance attestation required if fit test is needed.
- Documentation of MMR vaccination or immunity proof.
- TB screening within 3 months of start date, updated if break >6 months.
- Physician health statement within 365 days of start date, updated if break >6 months.
- Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start date, including county and international residence history.
- Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start date.
- National sex offender registry check within 30 days prior to start date, updated annually.
- Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start date, updated annually.
- Verification of highest education level through background check.
- Social Security Number trace as part of criminal background check.
- Completion of skills checklist within 1 year of submission.
- Submission of resume with 7 years of work experience including city and state.
- Two professional references within 4 years, including at least one supervisor or higher.
- Candidate submission coversheet required for initial assignment.
- Confirmation of assignment form required upon acceptance and for extensions.
- Name change documentation if legal name differs from credential documentation.
