Ultrasound Tech - Echocardiology (Travel)

Location: Beckley, West Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Dayshift with call
Hours per Week: 40 (including 8-12 hour on-call weekends)
Call Requirements: 10 days per month, evenings and weekends


Job Summary

  • Provide echocardiology services including pediatric echos, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), and carotid ultrasounds.
  • Work independently in a 300-bed facility serving patients of all ages.
  • Utilize equipment such as Canon US and PHILLIPS ultrasound machines.
  • Document and manage imaging using Meditech, Fuji PACS, and Synapse EHR systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, including Echo Technologist experience.
  • Experience performing pediatric echocardiography.

Work Environment & Additional Details

  • Facility is accredited by the Joint Commission.
  • Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays.
  • Dress code requires royal blue or red scrubs; T-shirts and hoodies are not permitted.
  • Professional demeanor expected.
  • Patient population includes all ages, with exposure to a wide range of surgical and emergency services.

  • Position located on the 1st floor echo department.
  • One opening available.
  • Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
  • Call includes evenings and weekends.

Note: Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff.
