Job Details

• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shift (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM)
• Hours per week: 36
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Jersey
• Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department experience, including experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Certifications issued by the American Heart Association:

  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • PALS
• NIHSS certification
• TNCC certification
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a high volume, fast-paced environment

Orientation & Onboarding

• Orientation includes virtual and in-person components; full completion is mandatory
• Virtual Welcome meeting and online HealthStream modules must be completed by Monday of orientation week
• In-person classes typically held Tuesday through Thursday at multiple locations (location details provided via HealthStream)
• POCT class attendance required (not during orientation week)
• Unit-based orientation schedule provided by manager
• Badge ID must be obtained in person during orientation; photo submissions are not accepted
• Badge required for clock-ins

Scheduling & Time Off

• Weekend requirement: every Saturday and Sunday
• No holiday shifts
• Return to work (RTO) requests limited to no more than 3 days
• No block scheduling or special requests allowed

Additional Requirements

• Must comply with background checks, drug screening, immunizations (including COVID-19, Influenza, Hep B, MMR, Varicella, TdaP), and other standard healthcare employment verifications and screenings
• Must complete competency exams and mandatory annual training
