Cat Scan Tech Travel Opportunity
Location: Pompton Plains, New Jersey
Employment Type: Travel, Clinical Allied Health
Shift: PM
Hours: 10 hours/day, 38 hours/week
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Perform CT scanning procedures with professionalism and service excellence.
- Prepare and maintain medical, surgical, and radiological supplies according to protocols.
- Maintain sterility of field and instruments during procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families to alleviate anxiety while respecting privacy and dignity.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards.
- Verify patient identification per policy.
- Monitor patient condition before and after contrast injections; report changes promptly.
- Ensure availability of medical records, previous reports, labs, and patient history.
- Initiate emergency response if complications arise.
- Maintain adequate linen, contrast media, biopsy, and drainage supplies in scanning rooms.
- Assist with inventory management, including daily stocking and cleaning of CT equipment and rooms.
- Coordinate workflow and triage procedures when assigned as Point staff, ensuring efficient patient care and safety.
- Communicate patient status with relevant departments and ensure timely patient transport post-procedure.
- Follow QA/QC requirements for equipment and adhere to venipuncture and power injector protocols.
- Notify radiologist immediately for urgent cases (e.g., Code Grey, Trauma) and any unusual findings.
Required Qualifications
- Valid license/certification as a CT Technologist (Cat Scan Tech).
- Experience performing CT procedures and handling contrast media.
- Ability to maintain sterile technique and follow safety protocols.
- Strong communication skills for patient interaction and interdisciplinary coordination.
- Knowledge of emergency procedures related to CT scanning.

- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
- This is a travel assignment with a 13-week duration.
- PM shift with 10-hour workdays.
