Registered Nurse (RN) - Dialysis
Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide dialysis nursing care on units located on two campuses with varying schedules:
- Regional campus: Monday-Saturday, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM, with call on Sundays and after hours
- Northport campus: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays with call on other days and after hours
- Dialysis units include 8 bays at Regional and 4 bays at Northport, performing bedside and peritoneal dialysis
- Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:2 (RN:patient) or 1:3 (RN + Certified Dialysis Tech:patient)
- Equipment used includes Fresenius and Gambro dialysis machines; training provided if unfamiliar
- Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals
- Work schedule includes every other weekend and holidays as required
- Solid navy scrub dress code
- Patient-facing clinical role
- Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech
- Parking available
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1 year of dialysis nursing experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Additional Information
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week (option for 36 or 48 hours)
- Timesheet approver roles assigned (not relevant for candidate)
- Not a remote position
