- Wednesday 7 PM – 8 AM
- Thursday 7 PM – 8 AM
- Friday 7 PM – 8 AM
- Total hours per week: 36
Job Description
- Perform diagnostic CT exams under general supervision following established policies and procedures.
- Verify patient identity and review medical records for exam appropriateness.
- Interview patients to obtain and verify medical history and assess risk factors (e.g., medications, pregnancy, psychological indicators).
- Explain procedures, including side effects, risks, benefits, alternatives, and follow-up instructions.
- Set up CT equipment and acquire images according to the prescribed protocol.
- Review images, make initial observations, document exceptions, and communicate findings to the radiologist.
- Recognize and respond to medical emergencies as needed.
- Provide physician-prescribed post-care instructions to patients.
- Participate in radiology process improvement activities such as quality of care, patient flow, reject-repeat analysis, and patient satisfaction.
- Provide imaging education to residents, student technologists, and new employees.
- May perform Radiologic Technologist duties as needed.
- Able to take call/standby as required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in South Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- ARRT certification in CT Technology
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
