CV Invasive Specialist

Location: Murray, Utah
Employment Type: Clinical Non-Nursing
Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (40 hours/week)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Prepare procedure rooms and manage post-procedure turnaround.
• Perform hemodynamic recordings, calculations, and interpretations.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and families.
• Assist with inventory control and maintain teamwork with physicians and staff.
• Assess and document patient condition; notify physician of any deviations during procedures.
• Operate and ensure safety of imaging equipment, including x-ray generation.
• Provide procedural assistance as circulating, scrub, or monitoring tech per cath lab policies.
• May mix/administer medications under physician supervision.
• Perform point of care testing and quality assurance.
• Apply closure devices, suture, or remove sheaths and achieve hemostasis post-procedure.
• Document procedures thoroughly and accurately.
• Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot cardiac catheterization lab equipment.
• Maintain knowledge of cardiopulmonary pathophysiology, pharmacology, anatomic anomalies, and treatment options.
• Understand invasive diagnostic and interventional supplies and techniques.
• Orient, teach, coach, mentor, and supervise new staff; provide staff education and training.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to patient status changes during procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Utah
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, including experience within the last year
• Certification in Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography (ARRT (R)), Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (ARRT (CV)), or Vascular Interventional Radiography (ARRT (VI))
• Experience and knowledge in Electrophysiology, including Electrophysiology Technician experience
• Proficiency in hemodynamic calculation and interpretation
• Competency in coronary intervention procedures
• Experience with invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Ability to calibrate and troubleshoot cardiac catheterization lab equipment

Additional Information

• On-call responsibilities required.
• No prior travel experience required.
