Description
X-Ray Tech (Travel) - North Carolina
Location
- Clyde, NC (approximately 20 miles from Asheville)
- Close to Great Smoky Mountains National Park and regional cities such as Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Knoxville, Greenville, Columbia, Atlanta, and Charleston
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- 40 hours per week
- Orientation occurs bi-weekly with upcoming start dates
Job Description
- Perform exercise, pharmaceutical, and echo stress tests
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate
- Prepare preliminary paperwork for cardiologist interpretation
- Recognize chest pain and arrhythmias during stress testing and respond accordingly
- Monitor, receive, and stock stress lab supplies
- Disassemble, clean, and sterilize equipment as needed
- Troubleshoot minor problems and make adjustments during procedures
- Collect and review pertinent medical, historical, and medication information to perform prescribed studies
- Assist with computerized charting and departmental quality improvement activities
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technologist license in North Carolina
- Minimum 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience as an X-Ray Technician
