Description
Mammography Technician (Weekend Shifts)
Location
- Salem, Massachusetts
Employment Type
- Long-Term Assignment (approximately 13 weeks)
Schedule
- Weekend shifts only (Saturday and Sunday)
- Shift hours vary: 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM or 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
- Saturday shift options: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM or 7:45 AM - 11:45 AM
- Weekly hours range from 36 to 40 hours depending on department needs
- Work performed at hospital and various offsite locations within a 10-mile radius
- Flexible schedule with varying shift lengths (8, 10, or 12 hours)
Job Responsibilities
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms
- Coverage includes hospital and offsite locations
- Ability to work independently
- Preferred but not required: experience performing stereotactic biopsies
- Ratio of technician to machine is 1:1
Required Qualifications
- Valid Mammography Technologist license in Massachusetts
- Mammography Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
