• Shift options: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Job Summary

• Perform diagnostic general radiological procedures using various imaging equipment to assist in diagnosing diseases and injuries.
• Acquire and process patient exams following accrediting bodies, manufacturer guidelines, and department protocols.
• Review labs, patient history, and radiology orders for accuracy and medical necessity.
• Administer IV contrast and oral/rectal contrast when appropriate, including performing veni-puncture and pregnancy screening/testing.
• Recognize and respond to adverse or allergic reactions.
• Ensure imaging quality by critiquing positioning, technical factors, and alignment.
• Transfer and verify image data in PACS and provide necessary information for radiologist interpretation.
• Maintain imaging equipment and workplace environment, including supply inventories and reporting malfunctions.
• Ensure patient, visitor, and environmental safety; report safety events immediately.
• Assist in instruction of students and new staff; may perform lead or coordinator duties in absence of supervisor.
• May perform duties in other modalities within the department if licensed/certified.
• Meet productivity benchmarks and assist other areas during downtimes.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiology Technologist license in Illinois
• Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
• ARRT (Radiography) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate's Degree in Radiology or Science, or completion of a certificate program in Radiology Technology
