Radiologic Technologist

Location: Chapel Hill, North Carolina
Employment Type: Clinical-Allied
Shift: Days
Hours: 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
Contract Length: 14 weeks

Job Summary

• Perform general diagnostic radiology procedures following departmental protocols and policies.
• Obtain and maintain RT(R) credentials with active status.
• Troubleshoot equipment and protocol issues.
• Verify patient demographics, pregnancy status, and physical condition before imaging.
• Critique, orient, save, and transmit quality radiographic images using PACS and RIS systems.
• Document procedure completion or cancellation and maintain image management equipment.
• React appropriately to emergency situations and ensure patient safety.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with medical personnel as needed based on patient condition.
• Use RIS, CIS, PACS, and SMS systems effectively for documentation and communication.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiology Technologist license in North Carolina
• ARRT certification in Radiography
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Provider
• Radiology Technologist experience within the last year (including X-Ray Technician experience)
• Entry-level candidates with 0 years of experience are eligible

Work Schedule Options

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  OR
• Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
